Save The Date – Umpires Clinic, Sunday, April 28, 2019
Do you want to learn a new skill and earn extra spending money over the summer? RHMSA is looking for individuals 13 years of age and older to umpire weeknight games. No experience necessary. All you need is a positive attitude and enjoying being outdoors! Interested candidates must attend Softball Ontario umpire’s clinic that will cover the fundamentals of umpiring. So come on out and make the “call” today and email dir.comm@rhmsa.ca to sign up.

Combined Junior & Intermediate Clinic for umpires under 19 years of age
This clinic is a combination of Junior & Intermediate umpire training. The clinic is (7) hours. For the first (5) hours both the Junior and Intermediate portions would cover the same curriculum. At that time, those registered for the Junior portion would have completed their clinic. The Intermediate umpires would then receive the required two (2) additional hours of instruction. By participating in this clinic, umpires can umpire House League and local Select Tournaments, but can’t umpire provincial championship tournaments. You must email dir.comm@rhmsa.ca to sign up and RSVP for this clinic.

When & Where: Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Rouge Woods Community Centre, Beech Room #2. (9AM – 4PM)

Junior ump clinic (approx. 5 hours) – $55 includes lunch
Intermediate ump clinic (approx. 7 hours) – $65 includes lunch

RHMSA is Richmond Hill’s Softball league, which provides year-round development for the youth of Richmond Hill and surrounding areas. We are a not-for-profit public Softball organization that is 100% run by volunteers. This league is only as good as the community it serves and your help is needed with:

  • Supporting your kid’s effort in sports.
  • Giving something back to the game of Softball.
  • Contributing to our community of Richmond Hill.
  • Helping children develop skills such as communication and teamwork.
  • Doing something rewarding while spending time with family and friends.

We have vacant Executive Board Member positions (no experience necessary) as well as coaching opportunities for the 2017 season. Volunteering for RHMSA is a great way to give back and to have a sense of accomplishment. If you’re ready to volunteer please email dir.comm@rhmsa.ca. You are also welcome to attend a RHMSA board meeting to see what it’s all about. Our meetings are generally on the second Wednesday of every month at the Elgin Barrow arena in the Board Room.

Thank you!
