News and Announcements
RHMSA has been very fortunate to have many amazing coaches this year, however, one coach certainly stood out this season by coaching two teams in 2019. This long time RHMSA volunteer coached both the U14 and U16 Select teams where the U16 team ultimately placed 4th out of 28 teams in the OSSTA Provincial Championships. RHMSA would like to congratulate and thank Tonia Sarkissian for dedicating her time to create another awesome and successful season of Softball. Your positive attitude and dedication over the years is certainly an asset to the league and the youth of Richmond Hill! RHMSA would like to also sincerely thank the many amazing individuals who stepped up to coach this season. It is because of your commitment and coaching skills that the kiddos of our community have a place to play ball. LETS GO REBELS!
The U16 Rebels Rep team finished their season in style on Saturday, August 31 at the CNE Women’s Fastball Tournament. With 5 games and a 15-hour day at the diamond, they played hard, dug deep and placed 2nd only to the Oakville Angels ’03 senior Tier 1 rep team after an exciting game that ended in an international tiebreaker, 5-4. We are very proud of our fantastic group of athletes and couldn’t ask for more. A very special thanks to Donna McGraw and the CNE crew for hosting a wonderful tournament. Our young ladies had a blast! REBELS STRONG!
The Richmond Hill U16 Rep team continues the goal to be one of the top teams in Ontario by 2020. With teamwork, persistence and a bit of swagger and fun, the Rebels came out on top and captured the gold medal at the PHGSA Loop Championships. Gold medals are not made of gold. They are made of hard work, sweat, determination and a hard to find trait called 220,…110% effort 110% of the time. Congratulations girls, coaches and parents! WE ARE GOODER!
The Richmond Hill U16 Select team is on roll. They hosted and competed in the OSSTA Richmond Hill Tournament and captured the SILVER medal! A very special thank you to the RHMSA executive member volunteers, coaches and parents who came out to support these girls. We wish them all the best in Provincials! LET’S GO REBELS!
The new and improved Richmond Hill Rebels U16 Rep team is on the rise! Through teamwork, execution of skills and the understanding that hard work pays off, they advanced to the gold medal game and competed against a seasoned rep team. The Rebels held the lead for the majority of the game and gave the opposition a run for their money. A very special thank you to UTM for hosting a great tournament, the coaches who continue to teach and encourage these athletes and the best parents and families in Ontario who came out to support and cheer on the team. LET’S GO REBELS!
